This one day workshop will explore how research can be progressed along the technology readiness levels into high value bio-based products from plants. Supported by BioPilotsUK* – an alliance of open access biorefining centres – we will examine the UK’s capability for scale-up of high value chemicals from plants and showcase exemplar projects.

The event is suitable for delegates who are interested in developing the impact of their research for industrial applications: there will be opportunities to discuss projects with technologists from BioPilotsUK. The workshop programme is available to download from the resources panel on the left. The workshop is free and open to registered HVCfP members. This event does not include accommodation for delegates. However, the Network is offering a number of accommodation bursaries worth up to £75 on a first come first served basis to registered delegates whose journey to York takes 3 hours or more. If you have registered to attend and wish to be considered for an accommodation bursary, email Wendy (wendy.lawley@york.ac.uk) stating the railway station where you are travelling from. Workshop Terms and Conditions apply. This workshop also supports HVCfP’s call for small, technology-driven Proof of Concept projects: inviting bids of up to £20k to further develop research using sub-contracted technology centres and/or to contribute to equipment access charges for visiting scientists. Further details of this call can be found here: https://hvcfp.net/funding/

Online booking for this event has now closed. If you would like to attend, please email wendy.lawley@york.ac.uk as soon as possible.
